The TARGET DATE can be set on the COUNT DOWN MODE. Either the CD mark countdown or the CU mark countup will be indicated on the mode. Remaining time up to the TARGET DATE (AMO:00:00) will be indicated as the CD mark and a lapse of time from the TARGET TIME as the CU mark. The TARGET DATE can be set in the range of the period starting from 1st JAN. 1997 until 31st DEC. 2099 at user's option. And the TIME-UP SOUND can beep for 20 seconds when the TARGET DATE falls on.

The CD blinks during counting the remaining time (remaining day/ remaining time/ remaining minute/ remaining second). And the CU blinks during counting a lapse of time (passed day/ passed time/ passed minute/ passed second).

5) How to set the target date

1. Press S3 to show the COUNTDOWN MODE.

2. Press S4 for 2 seconds in the COUNTDOWN MODE.

3. When the MONTH is flashing, press and release S2 repeatedly to select desired digits for adjustment.

4. Press S4 to forward the DAY and YEAR, and adjust desired digits in the same way as mentioned in 3).

When a nonexistent date (e.g. Feb.30) is set during adjustment, the display will automatically show the first day of the next month when set to TARGET DATE. (In leap year, month end dates will be adjusted automatically.)

To set the chime ON/OFF

When the ON/OFF is flashing, press S2 to select. The TIME UP SYMBOL will appear or disappear in selecting ON/OFF respectively. (Single chime will also beep in the mode "ON")

Press S2 for 2 seconds or more while in the ON/OFF SELECT MODE to check the CHIME sound.

The CHIME sounds for 20 seconds. Press S4 button to stop the sound.

REMARKS:

A/R 1

A/R STANDS FOR AUTO RETURN. IF THE ALARM POSITION IS LEFT AS IT IS FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE MINUTE, THE NORMAL POSITION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RETURN.

A/R 2

IF SETTING POSITION IS LEFT AS IT IS FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE MINUTE, THE NORMAL POSITION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RETURN.

FOR SETTING, PRESS THE S2 BUTTON EACH TIME.

IF THE S2 BUTTON IS PRESSED AND HELD FOR 1 - 1.5 SECONDS, THE NUMBER OR THE DIGIT IS ADVANCED QUICKLY.
