ANALOG/DIGITAL WATCHES

R316 ODYSSEY

Normal Time Reading

  • Hours, Minutes, Seconds and Day.
  • Depress S1 to show month, date and day.
  • Depress S2 to show alarm time.
  • Depress S4 to turn on the EL light

Normal Time Setting
In normal time mode press S3 three times, the display will start flashing. Press S1 to set the seconds to zero. Then select the setting mode by S2 and advance by S2 with the procedures as follows:

  • 1st press:
    Set the minutes. Press S1 to set to the right minute.
  • 2nd press:
    Set the hours. Press S1 to set to the right hour.
  • 3rd press:
    Set the date. Press S1 to set to the right date.
  • 4th press:
    Set the month. Press S1 to set to the right month.
  • 5th press:
    Set the day. Press S1 to set to the right day.
  • Press S3 to return to normal time mode from setting mode.

Alarm Time On / Off
In normal time mode, press and hold S2 (the display will show the alarm time in hours and minutes)

  • Hold S2 and press S1 one time: alarm mark will be on.
  • Hold S2 and press S1 a second time: alarm mark will be off.
  • Release S2 and the display will show normal time. Alarm is armed when the sign is visible.

Alarm Time Setting
In normal time mode press S3 two times, the hour digit will start flashing.

  • Press S1 to set the alarm hour.
  • Press S2 once, the minute digit will start flashing.
  • Press S1 to set the alarm minute.
  • After finishing the alarm setting, the alarm function will automatically be on.
  • Press S3 once to return to normal time.

Snooze
While the alarm is ringing, press S1 and the alarm will be suspended temporarily. 5 minutes later, the alarm will ring again itself. Its alarm sound will end by pressing S2 or switching off the alarm mode.

Chime Time On / Off
In normal time mode, press and hold S2 (the display will show the alarm time in hours and minutes)

  • Hold S2 and press S3 one time: day-of-week will be on, the chime time will be on.
  • Hold S2 and press S3 a second time: day-of-week will be off, the chime time will be off.

Chronograph Mode
In normal time mode, press S3 once. You are now in chronograph mode.
Operate the chronograph:

  • Press S1 to start. (For the first 30 minutes, the display shows 1/100 second count up. After 30 minutes, the display will show hours, minutes and seconds.)
  • Press S2 to display lap time.
  • Press S2 again to display the count up time.
  • Press S1 to stop the chronograph.
  • Press S2 to reset to zero.
  • Press S3 once to return to normal time.

Battery Replacement
For LCD Display use battery 3V-CR2016.
For analogue movement use battery 377, found under the large battery circuit plate. To be replaced by watch repair specialists only.
